Across The Floor
I saw her across the dance floor.
So gracefully she danced by.
Even in a large crowd, she shined right through.
I get so light-headed, I feel I can fly.
She has control of me the way no other has.
Control that I freely give to only her,
With which to do with as she pleases.
With her, my life couldn't be any better.
Such beauty she does posses, and a smile so sweet.
I think she should be placed high on a pedestal.
I pray to my God that we can join our lives.
I'm not sure what the feeling is, but what a way to feel.

Anticipation's Mounting
Waiting for our date.
The more I think about it,
The More I can't wait.
I want to tell you,
So very much.
But finding the words,
Is so very tough.
We're so different,
Yet we're the same.
I get a feeling of joy,
Just by speaking your name.

A Sound Of Heaven
A sound of heaven,
Is the sound of your voice.
To hear it every day --
That would be my choice.
The sound it makes to my ears,
Oh what a joyous tune.
Like the sweet melody,
Of the birds singing in June.
The little looks you give,
And the little things you say,
Are such treasures to me,
I never want them to go away.
Forever they will be kept safe,
Deep down in my heart.
Along with the feelings I've felt,
From the very start.

Before It's Too Late
I'm so happy that you went with me,
To spend a romantic evening on the town.
I'll always remember the wonderful time I had,
And thank my lucky stars that you are around.
Every time that I am with you, I feel so alive.
Whenever we are apart, I feel I'm going to die.
I want to tell you that I love you,
But can't find the words, and don't know why.
I hope to be able to tell you,
Before it's too late.
You never know; I may surprise myself,
And tell you on our next date!

Confusion
Confusion is my guide,
For I don't have a clue.
Not a clue where I'm going,
Not a clue of where I've been.
Just a cruise down the road,
Around the corner, up the block.
What am I doing? Any Idea?
No one can help me,
For they are all the same.
There is no book of life;
No set rules to follow.
Life is full of confusion,
That is the one certainty.

Dad
The one who has always been there,
The one I can always count on,
Is the one that I call Dad.
A helping hand to point the way,
A loving heart to teach what's right,
A shoulder to cry on when I'm sad.
These are things that a dad gives,
Without hesitation; without delay;
Because of the love within his heart.
Sometimes understanding him is a chore,
Wondering why he says what he does,
But loving him is the easiest part.
A love and a respect,
For the man who gave me life,
Cannot be expressed enough.

The burning desire,
Deep in my heart,
Yearns to be with you,
In daylight and dark.
In the day to do things,
Fun and frantic.
In the dark to do things,
Loving and romantic.
Time spent with you,
Is time that I treasure.
Never before in my life,
Have I experienced such pleasure.
Since you've come into my life,
I have been re-born.
Living like never before,
No time to cry, no time to mourn.
As revealing as the daylight,
You make me want to see.
As concealing as the darkness,
You make me want mystery.

Like the breath in my lungs,
And the blood in my veins,
You're needed in my life,
To keep me from knowing the pain.
The pain of living without my love,
And without seeing the heavenly view.
I can die with you babe,
But cannot live without you.
I continue to look forward to forever,
And even then, it seems too soon.
My love for you is enormous,
Greater than the heavens and the moon.
With you as my treasured companion,
The skies will always be blue.

Did you ever have one of those dreams,
That you never wanted to end?
Did you ever have a broken heart,
That never seemed to mend?
Did you ever get that feeling,
Deep down in your heart?

That your days would all be dark?

That always gives you losses?

The sun will always shine,
And the flowers will always bloom.
There'll never be any gray skies,
When looking through the eyes of love.

Even if I should become blind.

It has been a long dry spell.
Yeah, it's been a long time,
Since I've met someone like you,
Who makes me feel so fine.
My eyes open wide,
Whenever I see your face.
But not nearly as wide,
As the heart in my chest.

The joy that I find in you,

There's a girl I once knew.
I wonder what she'd do.

Girl Of My Dreams
When I first saw the girl of my dreams,
She took away my breath.
I think that I love her,
But it scares me to death.
Too many times in my life,
My love was taken for granted.
I shudder the thought,
Of that ever happening again.
I know I must not dwell,
On what happened yesterday.
But that is so difficult,
After being treated that way.
I must look forward.
I must remain positive.
When it comes to love,
I have so much to give.
It looks as if this is different.
She is like no other.

Hello My Friend.
How have you been?
Many days have passed,
Since I've looked into your eyes.
But not a day has passed,
That you haven't been on my mind.
Since that night we met,

Long flowing blond hair.
Beautiful glowing blue eyes.
I don't even know your name,
But in my memory you shall remain.
Your beauty is so remarkable,
Like a princess you are royal.
I'll probably never see you again,
But what a wonderful time it has been.
The smile that lasts forever,

A touch so gentle and sweet,

In A Crowd - All Alone
In a crowd,
All alone.
First they're here,
Then they're gone.
Make a call,
Pick up the phone.
Need some money,
Take out a loan.
Time to repay,
Let out a moan.
To the lender,
You're only a pawn.
Talk to me?
Not in that tone.
Make me mad,
I'll break a bone.
Move it over,
I'm moving on.
Going to Dairy Queen,
To get me a cone.
Eat it up,
Go back home.
Going to bed,
Before I yawn.
Wake up again,
In the dawn.
In a crowd.

It Feels So Right
With the rise of another sun,
The party is all but over.
We leave the others and head back home,
Where the real fun begins to happen.
Loving all day as lovers do,
We have so much fun we continue.
All day long, and into the night,
We love so much -- it feels so right.

It's Over
He walks in the front door,
She sits crying in the hall.
With a look of concern,
She asks, "Why didn't you call?"
"I've been so worried,
Not knowing where you were."
He just lowered his head,
Because he just couldn't face her.
He knows what he did,
Or didn't do, as is the case.
He slowly raises his head,
And sees her teary face.
Apologetically he says to her,
"It'll never happen again"
Forgetting that he's said that,
Over and over again.
She's finally had enough
And she told him goodbye.
He felt the wind pulled from his chest,
And thought he was going to die.
If he had only realized,
The harm that he had been causing,
By leaving her alone at home,
While he was out partying.
He could have saved a tragedy,
That never should have been.
For he loved this woman so very much,
But proving his love didn't happen.
If tonight you're out without your love,
Keep in mind what happened here,
And don't be surprised if it happens again,
Because the results are very clear.

I've had fun.
Yes I have.
Looking into her eyes.
Listening to her voice.
Enjoying time with her.
Dreaming at night of her.
Praying that she will stay.
What a time to rejoice.
After feeling down,
She lifts me up.
I'm so glad we met.

The strength I need,
I get from her heart.
